The drain line was clogged and to remove some of it and replace because of it being so bad. I fixed the leak and unclogged the drain line the system is draining out side and operating like it should be.

The doors on the system was not up against the door switch witch was not allowing the system to come on. The system was still charged but I recommend replacing the system son as possible.

Arrived and discussed issue with tenant. Found indoor and outdoor unit frozen solid with ice. I thawed unit and diagnosed initial issues are a very dirty 14x28x1 filter and low r22 refrigerant. System in 36 years old and shows it’s age and wear. Gas furnace is a standing pilot that has the gas shut off valve turned off. I highly recommend full system replacement due to age and status of equipment. If equipment is not replaced I would not run the heat until there was a complete heating maintenance or inspection done. Old 60% efficiency furnaces will have burner and flame issue when the age. Diagnosed system froze solid with ice due to a dirty custom sized air filter and low r22 refrigerant charge. We use 407c retrofit refrigerant due to r22 is no longer produced.system is 3 pounds low on refrigerant and the condensation drain line is clogged up and must be cleared out. The thermostat is a nest thermostat did not have c ran to the bored there for was killing the batters on the thermostat and was turning the system off and back on. I moved the green wire from g to c and the system is running and not shutting off.

Removed old existing thread saver that was used as a coupling that had very bad leak. Installed new 1” black iron union in place of coupling. Installed sediment trap for furnace as well. 1 year parts and labor warranty on repairs.

Arrived and cchecked gas line found gas valve was turned off, turned on watch unit cycle, did not try to light, i cracked gas line to be sure that there was gas coming through and not air, smelled gas, I checked igniter, I watched unit cycle again through code that pressure switch was stuck, I cleared tube and discovered common wire going to pressure switch became unplugged somehow, i plugged it back in watched unit cycle and it did light furnace operating as it should.

System is about 4 to 6 pounds low of R410a. Performed a courtesy electronic refrigerant leak search and found the evaporator coil is leaking. Informed customer of leak location and offered to fill system up to get them through. I offered $25 discount on each pound of freon. customer turned down offer of $50 per pound to get them cooling this weekend. Leaving quote To replace system.
