Ran new 18/8 wire for thermostat. Once wire was ran, found out that nest thermostat backplate is sending low voltage to furnace without thermostat face mounted. Customer will get new thermostat backplate and replace.
I performed a cooling maintenance on two gas furnaces both in the attic Homeowner replaced two 14x14x1 filters and one 14x25x1 filter I checked all electrical components on both units and checked the temp drops and cleaned the drain lines and I checked the Freon levels and checked the capacitors everything is in good working order at this time.

Main level system for home found no power at outdoor unit. 40 amp breaker in home was tripped. Technician reset breaker and after approximately 10 minutes of operation the breaker tripped again. 40 amp breaker in panel was warm to the touch. Technician verified tight connections. Tested all capacitors and connections in out door unit. Capacitors and connections are good. Recommend replacement of 40 amp breaker in panel. Both systems the main level and upstairs are 30 years old and because of age and lack of efficiency replacement is recommended. Office will schedule appointment with customer and our comfort specialist to discuss various options.

Sound customer noticing in master bedroom was result of return vent making harmonic sound through vibration. Explained to customer how the sound is created and made minor adjustment. As to the sound outside start sound is being generated by scroll compressor. Sound is not excessive in my opinion and will not affect operation. System is Cooling properly. Provided customer with information about our maintenance program.
