2018 Lennox heat pump low on refrigerant. Customer decided to approve the BETTER option with adding refrigerant and preforming a electronic leak search to pinpoint leak. I did find leak on reversing valve in heat pump. I added 4.5lbs of refrigerant to get the system cooling until repairs. I will be calling Lennox Monday morning for part availability and work up quotes for customer. Pics uploaded, 14x20x1. No warranty on refrigerant

Both in-line drain safety switches are faulty. Gave estimate to replace both with a SS1 safety switch. Customer said he will think about it. Have them both bypassed for now and customer is aware that water damage could occur if drain backs up.
Arrived and discussed issue with customer. Customer stated aim floor systems outdoor unit was make a metal on metal sound. I tested system indoor and outdoor units. I checked refrigerant charge and amp draws on outdoor unit. At this time I could not duplicate the noise the customer reported. Everything sound currently is normal operation. I did notice possible low refrigerant charge and also dirty outdoor coils. I recommend getting a maintenance plan and discussed option with customer. If noise comes back we will warranty our diagnostic fee and only charge for repairs.
