Repaired solder joint in Goodman heat pump, vacuumed system and added 7lbs of 410a refrigerant. System is now working properly. 16x20x1. Pics uploaded Home warranty payed $1,065.00 and customer payed his deductible of $100. I will be sending receipts to customer and home warranty company.
Upon arrival found system to be out of refrigerant which was causing heat pump to not run. Heat pump has refrigerant leak at solder joint for dedicated suction line. Will need to repair bad solder connection, vacuum system and charge system with 7lbs of R410a refrigerant.
Completed one ccm maintenance on gas furnace located in basement, i inspected gas and exhaust to make sure they were up to code checked drain, I did not change filter as customer did it a couple days before one was left with him I cleared pressure tube, I cleaned flame sensor, I fired unit up watched run flames were very loud I turned gas pressure down although no codes were shown, I watched unit cycle again got inducer motor and blower amps, system performing as it should at this time.
Installed Nest thermostat and set thermostat up for equipment properly. Checked operation and system working properly.
Part and labor warranty customer 120 volt switch was found in the off position. Technician turn the switch to on and tested system operation. Set thermostat to 77° for customer and used maker to label furnace switch with arrow pointing to on position.
I performed a service call on a single heat pump air handler I found that there was a significant amount of water in the return so I vacuumed out the water and I checked the Freon levels and found that it is very low on r22 Freon and I recommend replacing the the unit ASAP, I will send an email to our comfort consultant.
Apartment E6, found leak at solder joint about a foot from outdoor unit. Verified with electronic detector and soak bubbles. Made solder repair to leaking joint. Then pressure tested,pulled deep vacuum and added 1 lb refrigerant to system. 131/354 10 superheat.
Residential Service Call completed in Forest Park Ga
Performed system maintenance. Replaced 14x20x1 filter, cleared drain line, and inspected refrigerant level. System is operating normally at this time.
Got to house and performed inspection on air handler in cellar, found bad capacitor and also a bad conensate pump, replace capacitor but unit still did not come on, Replace condensate pump as motor had failed, Turned the unit on and it is now running as it should at this time, inspected outdoor electrical components and refrigerant and everything looks good.
